Rahmanullah Gurbaz set to join Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans signed up Rahmanullah Gurbaz as replacement for Jason Roy, who has withdrawn his name from the Indian Premier League 2022. Gurbaz was unable to attract buyers in the mega auction for his base price of INR 50 lakhs.

Since his debut for Afghanistan just over a year ago, Gurbaz has played 9 ODIs and 20 T20Is. He will join Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade as the third wicket-keeper of the Titans.

South Africa announce 16-man ODI squad for Bangladesh series

South Africa left out Anrich Nortje and Sisanda Magala from their 16-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh. Temba Bavuma will lead the side, with Keshav Maharaj as his deputy. The first ODI of the three-match series will be played on 18 March.

Ervine to lead Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe named Craig Ervine as their new white-ball captain, while Sean Williams will continue to lead them in Test cricket. Ervine has already captained the side 15 times, but this is the first time he has got the job on a full-time basis.

Lance Klusener will join Zimbabwe as the new batting coach. He will work under head coach Lalchand Rajput. Mary-Anne Musonda will continue as the captain of the women's team.

Rawalpindi Test ends in a draw

Imam-ul-Haq struck his second hundred of the match (111*) as Pakistan totalled 252/0 to force a draw in the first Test match against Australia, in Rawalpindi. Abdullah Shafique, who threw away a good start in the first innings, score an unbeaten 136. He hit 15 fours and two sixes.

Earlier in the day, Australia were bowled out for 459 in their first innings, conceding a lead of 17. For Pakistan, Nauman Ali finished with six wickets. The second Test match will begin on 12 March in Karachi.
