Mushfiqur stars as Bangladesh create history against Sri Lanka
Bangladesh rode on an impressive century from Mushfiqur Rahim (125 off 127) to clinch their first ever bilateral series against Sri Lanka at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur.
Mushfiqur forged an 87-run partnership with Mahmudullah (41) after Bangladesh were reduced to 74/4 in the sixteenth over. The last six Bangladesh batters could only add 21 as they limped to 246 in 48.1 overs.
In reply, Sri Lanka were restricted to 141/9, courtesy disciplined efforts from Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, to lose the match by 103 runs by DLS method.

Apart from Amir, Shoaib Malik also bagged a contract with Guyana Amazon Warriors, while Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane will be plying his trade for Trinbago Knight Riders. Lamichhane has earlier played for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Tallawahs in the last three seasons.
IPL 2021 likely to resume from 19 September
The 2021 edition of the now-suspended Indian Premier League may resume from 19 September in the UAE, with as many as ten double-headers.
As per the reports in PTI, the organisers have talked to all stakeholders and none of them has objected to the new dates.
If it goes as planned, the CPL 2021, slated to be held between 28 August and 19 September, may be brought ahead to allow West Indies players to participate in the league.
Naseem expelled from PSL for breaching bio-bubble protocol
Naseem Shah has been expelled from the upcoming Abu Dhabi leg of the PSL 2021 for breaching bio-bubble protocols.

‘The PCB doesn’t take any pride in releasing a young fast bowler from its marquee event, but if we will ignore this breach, then we will potentially put at risk the entire event,’ PCB director Babar Hamid stated.
