Erwin, Jongwe guides Zimbabwe to a consolation win

Zimbabwe beat Ireland by five wickets in the fifth and last ODI. However, they still lost the series 2-3. Ireland needing 9 off the last over, but Richard Ngarava (4-0-14-1) conceded just three to earn a consolation victory for Zimbabwe. Luke Jongwe and Donald Tiripano claimed three wickets each.

Earlier, Zimbabwe got off to a poor start, losing two wickets inside two overs. An unbeaten 67 from Craig Ervine, along with 23-ball 26 from Dion Myers, helped them reach 124/4 in 20 overs.

Rohit, Pujara put India in commanding position at the Oval

Rohit Sharma struck his first Test century away from home and forged a crucial partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara, who himself scored his second half-century, to bring India in a position of ascendancy. India finished the day on 270/3, with Virat Kohli (22) and Ravindra Jadeja (9) at the crease. The lead has inflated to 171 runs.

Rohit (127) reached his century with a glorious six off Moeen Ali. He was undone, again, while attempting a pull, off Ollie Robinson. Pujara, helped by some uninspiring bowling from the English pacers early in his innings, seized every opportunity. He made 61 before falling to Robinson, just five balls after Rohit.

South Africa makes it 1-1 with 67-run victory over Sri Lanka

South Africa have levelled the ODI series with a convincing 65-run victory, via the DLS method in a rain-marred second ODI. Janneman Malan scored 121 off 135, the third century of his fledgling eight-matches old ODI career.

Other than Malan, Reeza Hendricks made 51, and Heinrich Klassen came up with 27-ball 41. South Africa made 283 in 47 overs. Chamika Karunaratne and Dushmantha Chameera picked two wickets each.

Sri Lanka lost their top three for just 19. Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka added 64 for the fifth wicket to keep the chase alive before Tabraiz Shamsi removed both within two overs to put the pressure back. The rain intervened again, and Sri Lanka found themselves 67 runs behind the target, as per the DLS method.

Devine stars in New Zealand's series-levelling victory

Sophie Devine picked two wickets before scoring 50 in 41 balls to help New Zealand chase 128 set by England with four wickets to spare. Devine struck twice in the fifth over, removing Amy Jones and Nat Sciver, to left England reeling at 25/3.

Danni Wyatt (35) held the innings from one end, forging crucial partnerships with Sophia Dunkley (21), and Maia Bouchier (25) to help England reach a respectable total. Wyatt and Bouchier got dismissed in the same over, by Hannah Rowe.
