Ganguly replaces Kumble as chair of ICC Cricket Committee
ICC appointed Sourav Ganguly as the new chair of their Cricket Committee. Ganguly will replace Anil Kumble, who served for nine years after being appointed in 2012.
'I am delighted to welcome Sourav to the position of Chair of the ICC Men's Cricket Committee. His experience as one of the world's best players and latterly as an administrator will help us shape our cricketing decisions moving forward,' said ICC spokesperson Greg Barclay.
Australia announce squad for Ashes
Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed a 15-member squad for the first two Tests of the upcoming Ashes series. Usman Khawaja is back into the side, while there was no place for Will Pucovski. Marcus Harris is likely to open batting withDavid Warner.
Mitchell Swepson and Michael Neser are also included in the squad. Cameron Green is the sole all-rounder, while captain Tim Paine is the only wicketkeeper.

India beat New Zealand by five wickets
India beat New Zealand by five wickets with two balls to spare to take a 1-0 lead in the series. They chased down 165 in 19.4 overs, thanks to a 40-ball 62 from Suryakumar Yadav, and 48 from Rohit Sharma. The duo added 59 for the second wicket before Rishabh Pant scored the winning boundary.
Earlier, New Zealand rode on 42-ball 70 from Martin Guptill, and 63 from Mark Chapman, to post 164/6. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and R. Ashwin claimed two wickets each. Deepak Chahar and Mohammed Siraj were a bit expensive.
Arthur to leave Sri Lanka after West Indies Tests
The upcoming two-Test series against West Indies will be the last assignment for Mickey Arthur as head coach of Sri Lanka Men. Arthur joined the team last year in February. He will join Derbyshire, where he will succeed Dave Houghton as head coach.
