Scotland defeat Oman to reach Super 12
Scotland defeated Oman by eight wickets to book their place in Super 12 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They chased down with three overs to spare to emerge from Group B without a defeat.
Josh Davey (3-25), Safyaan Sharif (2-25) and Michael Leask (2-13) impressed with ball and restricted the hosts to a 122. Other than Aqib Ilyas (37) and Zeeshan Maqsood (34), no Omani batter could put anything substantial.
Kyle Coetzer and George Munsey then got Scotland off to a brisk start. Coetzer scored 41 off 28 to take the sting out of the game. The target allowed Matthew Cross (26* in 35) to play cautiously as Richie Berrington struck three sixes en route 21-ball 33.

PNG never stood a chance, and they kept losing regular wickets. Kiplin Doriga's 46 was the highest score of their innings of 97. Shakib was equally impressive with the ball as well, picking four wickets.
