New Zealand salvage a draw against India

A gritty knock from Rachin Ravindra helped New Zealand salvage a draw against India in the first Test match, at Kanpur. Ravindra kept out 91 balls as New Zealand finished on 165/9. Earlier, Tom Latham struck his second half-century of the game. William Somerville, sent in as night-watch on Day 4, also played 110 balls for his 36.

Ravindra Jadeja claimed four wickets for India, and R. Ashwin three.

Pakistan 93 runs away from win

Pakistan need just 93 runs on Day 5 at Chattogram to go 1-0 up in the two-match Test series. Chasing 202, they ended Day 4 on 109/0, thanks to Abid Ali (56*) and Abdullah Shafique (53*).

Earlier, Bangladesh were bowled out for 157 as Liton Das top-scored with 59. Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up five wickets, while Sajid Khan took three. 

Sri Lanka finished Day 1 on 113/1

Rain played spoilsport as just over 30 overs of the play was possible on Day 1 of the second Test match, at the Galle International Stadium. Batting first, Sri Lanka finished the day on 113/1. Dimuth Karunaratne and Pathum Nissanka added 106 for the opening stand before the former was undone by Roston Chase. Nissanka is currently batting on 61. 

Six Sri Lanka cricketers test positive for Covid-19

As many as six Sri Lankan cricketers have tested positive for Covid-19. They were in Zimbabwe to play the Women's World Cup Qualifier.

'The team is still in Zimbabwe, and we're talking with the ICC to try and get them back to Sri Lanka as soon as possible,' SLC CEO Ashley de Silva told ESPNcricinfo.
