Anderson set to miss Brisbane Test
James Anderson will not play in the opening Test against Australia, starting from 8 December at the Gabba. The team management has decided to rest him in order to keep him fresh for the pink-ball Test in Adelaide.
'Jimmy is fit to play, and is not carrying an injury. With five Tests in six weeks the plan was to get him ready for the second Test in Adelaide,' an ECB statement read.
South Africa announce 21-member squad
South Africa named a 21-member squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against India. Duanne Olivier returned to the side after an absence of over two years, while Sisanda Magala earned his maiden call-up. Dean Elgar will lead, with Temba Bavuma as deputy.

Bangladesh finish Day 4 on 76/7
Bangladesh suffered a batting collapse to finish the day on 76/7. They need 25 more to avoid the follow-on. Holding the fort is Shakib Al Hasan, on 23. Earlier, four Pakistani batters – Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Fawad Alam, and Mohammad Rizwan – managed half-centuries. Pakistan declared on 300/4.

Haris Rauf is set to join Melbourne Stars for the Big Bash League 2021/22. The Stars are missing the services of Marcus Stoinis and Billy Stanlake. Rauf's inclusion will be a massive boost for their inexperienced pace attack.
