The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed that England men’s team will begin their summer with a two-match Test series at home against New Zealand making it the first time since 2015 that the Blackcaps play a Test match in England.
The Kiwis who are currently at the top of the ICC Test Rankings will be playing the first Test against England at Lord’s (2nd-6th June) and the second at Edgbaston (10th-14th June).
Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and India will also be traveling to England for what is to be a long English summer. ECB has also announced that in addition to the three ODIs, Sri Lanka will also play three T20Is against England beginning from 23rd June. The venue for the three games are Sophia Gardens (1st and 2nd T20I) and The Ageas Bowl (3rd T20I).
England are currently playing the last of the two-match Test series in Sri Lanka and will then travel to India for a two-month long tour involving four Test matches, five T20Is, and three ODIs. The matches will be played in Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Pune.
New Zealand on the other hand wrapped up a 2-0 win in early January against Pakistan at home and remained with a 100% win record in Tests at home in 2020.
