The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed that all England players have tested negative in the second round of Covid-19 tests on Sunday.

The squad will begin training as a full group from Tuesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium ahead of the four-match Test series in India.

“All PCR tests from yesterday’s test have returned negative results,” said a statement from ECB.

“The England party are now out of quarantine and will train for the first time as a full group at the stadium tomorrow afternoon 2 pm-5 pm (IST),” the statement added.

Up until now, only three players from the England squad, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, and Rory Burns had been training as they had reached India before the rest of the squad who arrived in India on 27th Jan after winning the Test series in Sri Lanka by 2-0.

The squad had returned negative tests during the first round of testing on arrival in India.

The first Test between England and India begins on 5th February at the Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.
