Here’s how English players performed in the three-match T20I series versus Pakistan.
Liam Livingstone 9.5 (M 3 R 147 SR 216)
Although it came in a losing cause, Livingstone’s century in the first T20I – the fastest for England – was one of the highlights of the series. He followed it with a 23-ball 38. It was overall a great outing for him, who should have cemented his place for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
Adil Rashid 9 (M 2 W 6 Ec 8.12)
Rashid did not feature in the first game but picked up six wickets from the next two. He claimed a four-for in the last T20I to restrict Pakistan to 154/6.
Jason Roy 8.5 (M 3 R 106 SR 200)
Roy had a fruitful outing, finishing as the second-highest run-getter for England. He hit three sixes and two fours to make 32 in 13 balls in the first T20I. In the second, he got out on 10 but finished the series with 36-ball 64.
Jos Buttler 7 (M 2 R 80 SR 131)
Jos Buttler led the English side in the second ODI, and top-scored with 39-ball 59. Butler then added 67 runs with Jason Roy for the opening wicket in the last T20Is.
Moeen Ali 7 (M 3 R 38 W 3 Ec 7.28)
Moeen had a decent outing, and is likely to be in the scheme of things for the T20 World Cup. Ali made a fiery 36 in the second ODI, and picked up three wickets in the series.
Saqib Mahmood 5.5 (M 3 W 4 Ec 10.18)
Mahmood conceded 46 runs in the first game but made an excellent comeback in the next game, picking up three wickets. He was wicketless in the last T20I.
Tom Curran 5 (M 2 W 3 Ec 8.62)
Curran picked was parsimonious in the second match, where he conceded just 22. He could not find a place in the last T20I.
Eoin Morgan 4 (M 2 R 37 SR 137)
Morgan’s form has been a worry for England for quite some time now. There was no standout performance in this series as well. He scored 16 and 21 in two matches.
Dawid Malan 3 (M 3 R 33 SR 75)
A horrible series for Malan that put his place in the playing XI under scrutiny. He aggregated just 33 runs across three matches.
Jonny Bairstow 3 (M 3 R 29 SR 132)
Bairstow did not have the best series. However, it is worth a mention that he batted at a different position every time.
David Willey 2 (M 2 W 1 Ec 8.16)
Willey could only manage one wicket across two matches. He conceded 39 runs from four overs in the first match, but bowled only two overs in the last.
Matthew Parkinson 2 (M 2 W 1 Ec 9.00)
An ordinary campaign for Parkinson. He got only one wicket in the first two matches before being dropped for the decider.
Lewis Gregory 2 (M 1 W 1 Ec 12.50)
Gregory bowled two overs and picked up one wicket in the only match he played.
Chris Jordan 1.5 (M 2 R 18)
Jordan played two games and remained wicketless, but held his nerves in the last over to take England past the target in the third match.
