Mitchell Johnson, a former Australian cricketer, had an odd experience at his hotel room after he noticed a snake close to the door.
The former left-arm seamer posted a picture of the snake on his Instagram account while he was playing in the Legends League Cricket in India. He said, "Does anyone recognise this snake's species? I'm just sitting beside the door of my room."
Johnson (40), who retired from international cricket in 2015 after taking 239 ODI and 313 Test wickets in 73 and 153 matches, respectively, is a player for the Jacques Kallis-led India Capitals in the Legends League Cricket. On Saturday, he participated in the match against Gujarat Giants in Kolkata.
Johnson stated in a different article: "There is a better photo of the head of this snake. I'm still unsure about the specifics. Interesting thus far during my stay in Lucknow, India."
Former star cricketers have reunited under the auspices of the Legends League. On Saturday, India Capitals player Johnson dismissed Gujarat Giants captain Virender Sehwag, but the latter went on to win the match by three wickets when Johnson returned with figures of 1/22 in three overs.
The next game for the India Capitals is on Wednesday against the Bhilwara Kings.
