The Indian Premier League (IPL) has produced some of the finest young bowlers from the Indian domestic circuit, year after year. From R Ashwin to Yuzvendra Chahal to T Natarajan at present, numerous uncapped bowlers took full advantage while featuring in the league and later successfully became integral parts of the Indian cricket team.
The bowling department used to be a concern for India. That has improved significantly in recent years. The IPL, which allows international superstars to share dressing rooms with unproven domestic talents, has played a pivotal role to make this happen.
Let’s have a look at five uncapped Indians bowlers who have the potential of becoming the next big thing in the world of cricket.
1. Ravi Bishnoi
After making a promising debut last year, Punjab Kings leg-spinner Bishnoi will aim to grab the spotlight yet again in IPL 2021. At only 20, he picked up 12 wickets in 14 matches in the UAE with an impressive economy rate of 7.37.

Bishnoi became the second-highest wicket-taker for Punjab in IPL 2020, behind only Mohammad Shami (20). Under Anil Kumble’s guidance, Bishnoi is a Purple Cap contender for IPL 14.
2. Lukman Meriwala
If Delhi Capitals provide him with opportunities, 29-year-old left-arm seamer Meriwala may break through the ranks this time. become the newest find of IPL 2021 if Delhi Capitals utilize him correctly. Delhi acquired Meriwala at his base price of INR 20 lakh in the 2021 auction, presumably in the aftermath of an excellent show in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Baroda.

Meriwala bagged 15 scalps in eight games in the domestic 20-over tournament to guide Baroda to reach the final. He finished as the second-highest wicket-taker of the season, with the career-best figure of 5-8 against Chhattisgarh.
3. Chetan Sakariya
Another left-arm seamer on the cards with the potential to become the next big thing is Sakariya. He was roped in by Rajasthan Royals (RR) at INR 1.2 crores in the auctions; he may replace Jaydev Unadkat, his captain at Saurashtra, in the RR playing XI.
If you think anyone can do what Sakariya can, that's a bit of a stretch. 🙄#HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | #IPL2021 | @Sakariya55 pic.twitter.com/3fpT1cDGRF

In the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sakariya picked up 5-11 against Vidarbha. With Unadkat’s form in IPL under constant scrutiny, Sakariya may emerge as RR’s lead left-arm seamer.
4. Krishnappa Gowtham
After receiving a whopping contract of INR 9.25 crores, Gowtham will be one of the few who will be judged by his performance in IPL 2021. Apart from bowling accurate off-breaks, Gowtham can also hit the ball all over the stadium.

Though Gowtham has been one of the familiar faces in IPL in recent years, he is yet to have a season to remember. However, with the presence of MS Dhoni behind the stumps, this might be the year that Gowtham was looking for.
5. Varun Chakravarthy
One of the biggest finds of IPL 2020, 29-year-old ‘mystery spinner’ Chakravarthy was the leading wicket-taker for KKR. He finished with 17 wickets and an outstanding economy rate of 6.84, living up to the long tradition of KKR’s mystery spinners.
With a spell like that, there's no guessing who the Man of the Match is! 😍

KKR boosted their spin department in IPL 2021 by adding Harbhajan Singh, Shakib Al Hasan, and Pawan Negi to their roster. They also have Sunil Narine. Despite their presence, however, there is little doubt that Chakravarthy will be their primary spinner to begin with.
