Former India off spinner, Harbhajan Singh bid farewell to the Chennai Super Kings and expressed gratitude towards the franchise for his time with them. The 40-year old took to Twitter to thank the team.
“As my contract comes to an end with @ChennaiIPL, playing for this team was a great experience..beautiful memories made &some great friends which I will remember fondly for years to come..Thank you @ChennaiIPL, management, staff and fans for a wonderful 2years.. All the best”, wrote Harbhajan.

The World Cup winner with India in 2011 was brought on board at CSK in 2018, when the franchise made their return after a two year ban following the spot fixing scandal that was unraveled in 2013. He was part of the team that won the title in 2018 and was runners-up in 2019. Harbhajan took a total of 23 wickets in 24 games that he played for the franchise over the course of two seasons. During CSK’s IPL 2019 campaign he was the third highest wicket taker for the franchise (16) after Deepak Chahar (22) and Imran Tahir (26).
He pulled out of IPL 2020 citing personal reasons. Before 2018, Harbhajan was part of the Mumbai Indians squad since the beginning of IPL in 2008. a franchise he won three titles with.
With 150 wickets, Harbhajan is the fifth on the all time wicket takers list in IPL history. He also holds the record for most number of dot balls bowled in the history of IPL (1,249), also one of the very few players who have won four IPL titles.
