The ICC announced men’s and women’s squads of the decade on Sunday. The men’s version has three teams for T20I, ODI, and Test, and Virat Kohli, the current Indian skipper has been named in all three squads. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been chosen as the leader of T20I and ODI side whereas Virat Kohli is the leader of the Test team.

The T20 side features four players from India along with two from Australia, two West Indies, and one each from Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Afghanistan. Apart from Virat Kohli, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma are the other Indians in the T20I team along with some high-profile names like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, and Lasith Malinga.

The ODI Team of the Decade has three Indian cricketers. Rohit Sharma has been given the opening duties along with David Warner followed by Kohli and AB de Villiers as the middle-order batters. Shakib Al Hasan and Ben Stokes are two all-rounders. The pace attack includes Micthell Starc, Trent Boult, and Lasith Malinga.

The Test team of the decade led by Kohli includes some notable names like Alistair Cook, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, and Kumar Sangakkara. The bowling side unit has Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, and Ravi Ashwin.

ICC’s ODI Team of the Decade: Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shakib Al Hasan, MS Dhoni (c), Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir, and Lasith Malinga.

ICC’s Test Team of the Decade: Alistair Cook, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli (c), Steve Smith, Kumar Sangakkara, Ben Stokes, Ravi Ashwin, Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad, James Anderson.

The International Cricket Council also announced the women’s T20I team of the decade. Indian cricketers Harmanpreet Kaur and Poonam Yadav have been picked in the side that is being captained by Meg Lanning. The bowling department has Indian spinner Poonam Yadav along with players like Anya Shrubsole and Megan Schutt.
