Australia vs Pakistan
Australia beat Pakistan by seven wickets to register their second successive victory of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022. Alyssa Healy starred with a 79-ball 72 as Australia chased down 191 in 34.4 overs.
Asked to bat, Pakistan lost both openers off successive deliveries to slip to 11/2. Megan Schutt got Nagida Khan, while Ellyse Perry had Sidra Ameen caught by Meg Lanning.
Bismah Maroof and Aliya Riaz then added 99. Maroof remained unbeaten on 78, while Riyaz scored 53 before Nicola Carey pinned her leg before. Alana King took two wickets for Australia.
In response, Healy and Rachael Haynes added 60 for the opening stand. Haynes made run-a-ball 34 before holing out to Maroof off Nashra Sandhu. Healy struck seven fours in her 72, while Meg Lanning (35) and Perry (26*) chipped in with vital contributions as well.
