South Africa registered their second win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 after defeating Sri Lanka by four wickets in Sharjah. They chased down 143 in 19.5 overs. David Miller struck two sixes in the last over before Kagiso Rabada's boundary propelled them across the target.
Earlier, Sri Lanka rode on 58-ball 72 from Pathum Nissanka to post 142. Other than him, only Charith Asalanka (21) scored more than 20 runs. Dwaine Pretorius and Tabraiz Shamsi claimed three wickets each.
In the second match, England hardly broke into a stride while chasing 126 against Australia. Jos Buttler remained unbeaten on 71 as England completed the chase in 11.4 overs.
England, thus, further strengthened their position at the top of the points table. Australia and South Africa are tied with four points each.
