Australia are now level with England in the points table after winning their second successive game. They defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After being asked to bat, Sri Lanka posted 154/6 in 20 overs. Kusal Perera and Charith Asalanka made 35 each, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa remained unbeaten on 33.
Australia rode on an opening stand of 70 between Aaron Finch and David Warner to chase down the target in 17 overs. David Warner scored 65 in 42 balls. This was the first defeat for Sri Lanka in the tournament; they are at fourth place.
