Group B
Bangladesh registered their first victory in the tournament, against hosts Oman, by 26 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Shakib's 42, along with a half-century from Mohammad Naim, helped Bangladesh reach 153 in the first innings. Shakib and Mustafizur Rahman then ran through the opponents, sharing seven wickets, to restrict Oman to 127/9. Oman are on the second position, followed by Bangladesh.
Scotland, meanwhile, defeated Papua New Guinea by 17 runs to register their second successive victory. They rode on a 49-ball 70 from Richie Berrington to post 165/9 in the first innings, and bowled out PNG for 148. PNG have now lost both matches they have played so far.
They are now at the top of the table, while PNG are on the verge of being knocked out.
