Pakistan vs Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea 50 in 22.4 overs (Christopher Kilapat 11; Muhammad Shehzad 5-7) lost to Pakistan 51/1 in 12 overs (Abbas Ali 27*; Junior Morea 1-12) by 9 wickets with 228 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Muhammad Shehzad.

Pakistan beat Papua New Guinea by seven wickets to seal a spot in the quarter-finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2022. Muhammad Shehzad's five-wicket haul helped them bowl out PNG for 50. Only Christopher Kilapat (11) reached double figures, while four batters got out for ducks. Pakistan completed the chase in 12 overs.

Bangladesh vs UAE

UAE 148 in 48.1 overs (Punya Mehra 43; Ripon Mondol 3-31) lost to Bangladesh 110/1 in 24.5 overs (Mahfijul Islam 64*; Jash Giyanani 1-17) by 9 wickets with 67 balls to spare (DLS Method).

In a rain-marred clash at Warner Park, Bangladesh defeated the UAE by nine wickets via the DLS method. They will now face India in the next stage. The UAE lost both openers to Ashiqur Zaman in the third over. Punya Mehra (43) and Dhruv Parashar (33) helped them reach 148 in 48.1 overs.

For Bangladesh, Ripon Mondol claimed three wickets, while Zaman and Tanzim Hasan Sakib took two each. The target was revised to 107 in 35 overs, and Bangladesh completed the chase in 24.5 overs. Mahfijul Islam remained unbeaten on 64. 

Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe

Afghanistan 261/6 in 50 overs (Suliman Safi 111; Alex Falao 3-54) beat Zimbabwe 152 in 36.4 overs (Matthew Welch 53; Nangeyalia Kharote 4-31) by 109 runs.

A brilliant 111 from Suliman Safi, along with 4-31 from Nangeyalia Kharote, drove Afghanistan to a 109-run win over Zimbabwe. Safi scored 111 in 118 deliveries and Kharote scored 50, as Afghanistan set up a target of 262.

Barring Matthew Welch, who scored 53 off 61, none of the Zimbabweans scored anything substantial, as they were bowled out for 152.
