Of the 17 Indian cricketers, Yash Dhull, Shaik Rasheed, Manav Parakh, Siddarth Yadav, Aaradhya Yadav and Vasu Vats returned positive positive the Rapid Antigen Test ahead of their match against Ireland, forcing them to play the only 11 available options. Despite that, India won their second successive match, defeating Ireland by 174 runs at the Brian Lara Stadium. They scored 307/5 before restricting Ireland to 133.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh got India off to a solid start, adding 164 for the opening stand. Raghuvanshi struck 10 fours and two sixes for his run-a-ball 79, while Harnoor made 88 in 101 balls.
Raj Bawa (34) and Nishant Sindhu (36) then chipped in with valuable contributions before an unbeaten 17-ball 39 from Rajvardhan Hangargekar lifted India to 307/5. Hangargekar struck five sixes and a four. For Ireland, Muzamil Sherzad picked three wickets.
In reply, Ireland lost three wickets for just 17. Ravi Kumar dismissed Liam Doherty for 7, and Hangargekar pinned Jack Dickson leg-before for a seven-ball duck. Joshua Cox and Tim Tector tried to stabilise the innings but the latter got dismissed by Garv Sangwan on 15. Cox made 28, and Scott MacBeth top-scored with 32.
MacBeth's dismissal reduced them to 120/8. Two overs later, Kaushal Tambe struck twice in the space of five deliveries to skittle out Ireland for 133.
