Canada Under-19s vs the United Arab Emirates Under-19s

Ali Naseer’s 50-ball 73 and Punya Mehra’s 76-ball 71 helped UAE beat Canada by 49 runs in Match 3 of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2022 in Basseterre. UAE posted 284/7 after opting to bat and knocked over Canada for 235 in 46.4 overs.

For Canada, Mihir Patel (96), Anoop Chima (46) and Kairav Sharma (43) tried, but the others could not even cross 15. Nilansh Keswani, Adhitya Shetty, Jash Giyanani and Alishan Sharafu took two wickets each.

Ireland Under-19s vs Uganda Under-19s

Ireland 236/9 in 50 overs (Joshua Cox 111; Matthew Musinguzi 2-35) beat Uganda 197 in 48.1 overs (Pascal Murungi 63; Matthew Humphreys 4-25) by 39 runs. Player of the Match: Joshua Cox.

Joshua Cox’s unbeaten 113-ball 111 led Ireland to beat Uganda by 39 runs in Match 5, in Georgetown. Cox got support from Philippus le Roux (32) and Scott MacBeth (22) to take Ireland to 236/9 after they were asked to bat.

Uganda then kept losing wickets in regular intervals, and eventually were bowled out for 197 in 48.1 overs. Pascal Murungi made an 82-ball 63 and Juma Miyaji a 21-ball 38.

Zimbabwe Under-19s v Papua New Guinea Under-19s

Zimbabwe U-19 321/9 in 50 overs (Emmanuel Bawa 100; Rasan Kevau 3-65) beat Papua New Guinea U-19 93 in 35 overs (Barnabas Maha 15; Victor Chirwa 2-11) by 228 runs. Player of the Match: Emmanuel Bawa.

Zimbabwe thrashed Papua New Guinea by 228 runs in Match 6 of the tournament in Port of Spain. They piled 321/9 after opting to bat, courtesy Emmanuel Bawa’s 95-ball 100, and shot out PNG for 93 in 35 overs. Barring Ngenyasha Zvinoera (2-25), all Zimbabwe bowlers went for less than four an over.
