South Africa vs West Indies

Match 23 of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022, between South Africa and West Indies, was abandoned due to persistent rain. South Africa have now qualified for the semi-finals, and will finish second in the points table.

Only 10.5 overs of play was possible, over the course of which South Africa lost four wickets for 61. Chinelle Henry struck thrice in her opening spell, while Shamilia Connell picked up the other wicket. Mignon du Preez struck six fours in her 31-ball 38 before the play was called off. 

Pakistan vs England

Pakistan 105 in 41.3 overs (Sidra Ameen 32; Katherine Brunt 3-17) lost to England 107/1 in 19.2 overs (Danni Wyatt 76*; Diana Baig 1-14) by 9 wickets with 184 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Danni Wyatt.

England kept the semi-final hopes alive with a nine-wicket win over Pakistan at the Hagley Oval. A win against Bangladesh would now be sufficient for them to enter the semi-finals.

England bowled out Pakistan for 105 and chased down the target in 19.2 overs. In the process they went past India on the points table.

Danni Wyatt was adjudged Player of the Match for her unbeaten 76, consisting of 11 fours. Heather Knight also scored 24 not out in 36. 

Earlier, Katherine Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone claimed three wickets each to bowl out Pakistan for 105. Sidra Ameen top-scored with 32, while Sidra Nawaz made 23. Eight batters got out without reaching double digits.
