Australia romped over to their sixth successive win in the Women's World Cup 2022 after defeating South Africa by five wickets. Fifties from Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luss propelled South Africa to 271/5 in 50 overs. Meg Lanning then struck an unbeaten 135 to drive Australia to a comfortable win.
In another match, India beat Bangladesh by 110 runs. Chasing 230, Bangladesh were bowled out for 119. Sneh Rana (4-30) was the pick of the Indian bowlers, while Yastika Bhatia top-scored with 50.
Australia and South Africa continue to occupy the top two spots in the points table. With three wins and as many losses, India are placed third, followed by West Indies and England.
