India suffered their second defeat in the ICC Women's World Cup when they failed to defend 135 against England at Bay Oval. England completed the chase with four wickets remaining in 31.2 overs to finally secure their first points of the tournament. Heather Knight scored an unbeaten 53 after Charlie Dean took 4-23.
With two wins and as many defeats, India are at third place in the points table. England, meanwhile, rose to sixth place, having won one and lost three games. Australia and South Africa have won all their games so far, and occupy the top two spots.
