Pakistan beat West Indies by eight wickets to win their first game in the ICC Women's World Cup 2022. In a rain-marred clash reduced to 20 overs a side, Pakistan chased down 90 with seven balls to spare. Nida Dar (4-10) was the pick of their bowlers, while Muneeba Ali top-scored with 37.
The win, however, did not change the position of Pakistan in the points table. They continue to languish at the bottom. West Indies are now third, with three wins and as many defeats, followed by India and England.
