After Team India defeated Zimbabwe by five wickets in the second One-Day International on Saturday, all-rounder Deepak Hooda set a special world record.
The victory let India to take a commanding 2-0 series lead after the first two games.
Intriguingly, since Hooda made his international debut, India has triumphed in every game he has participated in, across all formats, proving that he is the nation's good fortune.
Hooda has now participated in 16 straight victories for India, which is the longest winning streak for a player following a debut, according to records. Since Hooda played his first international encounter in February of this year, India has won seven ODIs and nine T20Is with him on the side.
Satvik Nadigotla of Romania held the record with 15 victories following his international debut, while David Miller of South Africa and Shantanu Vashisht of Romania both had 13-game winning streaks.
