The BCCI has announced the Indian team roster for the forthcoming T20I and ODI series ahead of the fifth Test between India and England at Edgbaston. The team will be captained by skipper Rohit Sharma, who will miss the Test match due to a positive COVID-19 test, while Umran Malik, India's fastest pacer, will play against England in T20Is after making his international debut against Ireland. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has chosen two separate teams for the three 20-over matches in consideration of the limited period of time between the conclusion of the fifth Test and the beginning of the T20I series.
After testing positive for Covid-19 and being disqualified from the Edgbaston Test, Rohit Sharma will make a comeback to captain the teams in the T20I and ODI series against England, which get underway on July 7 in Southampton.
