Five-wicket hauls from Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav and a dominating ton from skipper Virat Kohli helped India to a 2-0 series clean sweep as they beat Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in the historic inaugural day-night Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.
This is the very first time a team has recorded four consecutive wins by an innings or more. The triumph has also been India’s seventh consecutive Test match win, their longest ever winning streak.
Earlier in the day, India needed just four wickets to wrap things up here. Also, there are concerns surrounding the fitness of Mahmudullah, who was retired hurt last night due to a hamstring injury.

Resuming from their overnight score of 152 for 6, the visitors could only last 52 balls on Day 3 as the Yadav cleaned up the rest of the line-up within 47 minutes of play and their innings finished at a score of 195.
For his match figure of 9 for 78, Ishant was named as the player of the match Also, for getting 12 wickets he was given the player of the series award as well.
