Physio Kamlesh Jain has joined the support staff of the Indian senior team ahead of the five-match T20 series against South Africa, which begins on June 9 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
According to Cricbuzz, Jain, a former support staff member with the Kolkata Knight Riders, replaces Nitin Patel, who was with the squad until their previous assignment and has now been transferred to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
According to the report, Jain joined the Indian team on Monday (June 6) in New Delhi.
On Monday, the new-look India team, led by K.L Rahul, practised for about three hours at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, with Jain assisting the players.
The teams will travel to Cuttack for the second T20I on June 12, Vizag for the 14th T20I on June 14, Rajkot for the 17th T20I on June 17, and Bengaluru for the 19th T20I on June 19.
