BCCI announced the India Women squads for their upcoming tour of Australia, starting 19 September in Sydney. Riding on a spirited performance in England tour last month, Sneh Rana has retained her place across all three formats.
India have named two uncapped players – Meghna Singh and Yastika Bhatia – for all three formats, and another uncapped Renuka Singh for the T20Is, while Rajeshwari Gayakwad returned to the team after missing the England tour due to a knee injury and Covid-19.
However, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Priya Punia and Indrani Roy, who were part of the Indian squads in England, have been left out.
A total of 22 has been selected for the Australia tour, spreading across an 18-member squad for each of the formats.
The tour will begin with a three-match ODI series, followed by the day-night Test match. This will be the first day-night Test for India Women, and the second in Women’s cricket.
After the Test match, the two teams will play three T20Is, on 7, 9, and 11 October.
