Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 32 in 27 balls to win the Orange Cap. He amassed 635 runs in 16 matches. Faf du Plessis, his opening partner, needed four off the last ball of the innings to usurp Gaikwad, but he was caught in the deep in the attempt. Du Plessis finished the season with 632 runs. Punjab Kings captain K.L. Rahul finished at third place, with 626 runs.
