Rajasthan Royals moved to fifth place of the points table after a thrilling two-run win against Punjab Kings in Match 32 of the IPL 2021, on 21 September. Rajasthan have now got eight points, with four wins and as many defeats. Mumbai Indians also have eight points from eight matches, but they sit at fourth place due to a better net run rate.
On the other hand, the defeat brought a huge blow for Punjab, who were favourites to win the contest until the final over came into play, bowled by Kartik Tyagi. They now languish on the seventh spot with six points, only above bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad.
