Chennai Super Kings registered their ninth victory of the season by defeating bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets. They chased down a target of 135 in 19.4 overs. Earlier, Josh Hazlewood and Dwayne Bravo shared five wickets between them to restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to a below-par total.
Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad then got Chennai off a rollicking start, adding 75 runs for the opening stand. MS Dhoni (14) and Ambati Rayudu (17) then drove the team across the finishing line.
