Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will go head-to-head on 13 April in Match 5 of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Both teams boast of tremendous firepower; expect another high-scoring contest on the cards.
Since winning the title twice in three years (2012 and 2014), Kolkata have not really reached that level in the IPL, despite having one of the strongest cores of overseas players. Mumbai, on the other hand, are the most successful franchise in the tournament’s history, having won the title a record five times (including the last two).
Team News
After donning the Mumbai jersey for the first time, Chris Lynn fell just a run short of half-century against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the season opener. Despite that, Quinton de Kock may replace Lynn against KKR on Tuesday. Among bowlers, Jayant Yadav might get a place in the MI playing XI, replacing Rahul Chahar.
Kolkata, on the other hand, are likely to go with the same team against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their opening fixture, where they secured a convincing 10-run victory. Although if the KKR team management goes for one change, that could be the inclusion of Vaibhav Arora or Shivam Mavi in place of Harbhajan Singh.

Rohit Sharma, Nitish Rana, Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are highly dependable top-order options.
-
Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya are undroppable fantasy T20 picks (we hope you already know that).

Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins, Prasidh Krishna and the uncapped Marco Jansen can be handy with the wickets.
