According to multiple reports, Match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns in the KKR camp. The match was originally supposed to be played on 3 May in Ahmedabad.
There is still no official confirmation from either franchise. However, as per a report from ANI, some of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) members reached the Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) after two KKR players, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, tested positive for COVID-19.
The rescheduled date will be announced later in Monday afternoon, BCCI told GCA. Kolkata are currently sitting on seventh in the points table, with two wins in seven matches. Bangalore, on the other hand, are at third, with five victories.
