Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 45 runs in the Match 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium, on April 19.
Chennai posted 188/after being asked to bat. Chetan Sakariya once again had three wickets, for 36. In response, the Rajasthan batters never seemed comfortable after skipper Sanju Samson fell early. In the end, they scrambled to score 143/9. Moeen Ali was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round effort. Here is what they said on social media.

Michael Vaughan had raised his concern about Ravindra Jadeja after the latter starred in Chennai’s win over Rajasthan. Vaughan, as he mentioned earlier, opined that BCCI must give Jadeja an A+ contract, something only Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah hold at this point.
That’s exactly why @imjadeja is so so so valuable to any team … How the @BCCI don’t have him in the top contract bracket is beyond me … !!!!!! #IPL …

Harsha Bhogle lauded Sam Curran for his consistent performances in IPL 2021. He added that Curran has always been ready to do whatever his team ask him to do at any point.
Just have to admire @CurranSM. Does everything the team asks of him. Cameos at the end, takes the new ball, happy to bowl at the death and always contributes.

Aakash Chopra pointed out young Sakariya had won the battle between youth and experience: he had dismissed Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni.

Moeen Ali had marked the best figure by an off-spinner (3-7) for Chennai in the history of the tournament.
Moeen Ali's 3/7 – The best bowling by an off-spinner for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
Only once a team's spinners took more wickets in an IPL match at Wankhede (6 wickets by KKR vs MI in 2012) than the CSK spinners today (Moeen 3 & Jadeja 2). #CSKvRR #IPL2021
