Punjab Kings (PBKS) will go head-to-head with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 21, in Match 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Both sides are coming into this fixture after losing their latest encounters. While Punjab, after winning their opening tie against Rajasthan Royals (RR), had back-to-back defeats against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC), Hyderabad are yet to open the account after three matches in IPL 2021.
Team News
Led by KL Rahul, Punjab boast of prolific top-order batters this year. Apart from Nicholas Pooran’s form in the batting line-up, their think tank has little to worry about ahead of the Hyderabad game.
Unfortunately, yet again, the Punjab bowling core has lacked discipline. In their recent outing, Delhi chased down 196 runs with 10 balls to spare. Rahul & co. may bring Fabian Allen in playing XI, in place of Riley Meredith.
Hyderabad went with four changes against Mumbai Indians (MI) last time. The plan did not work. They need Kane Williamson badly in the middle-order to turn the fortunes. Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who ended up wicketless against Mumbai, will be once again key on slow and low Chepauk turf.
Fantasy tips
- KL Rahul, Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey, David Warner and Mayank Agarwal are highly dependable top-order options.
- Deepak Hooda and Vijay Shankar can return good value to your side.
- Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami can be handy with the ball.
