Match 23 of the Indian Premier League 2021 will see Chennai Super Kings take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, on Wednesday, 28 April. While Chennai are coming off on a convincing victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Hyderabad lost their last encounter against Delhi Capitals.
Team News
Moeen Ali missed the last match due to a minor injury but is expected to feature against SRH. Moeen has been among the most prolific batters for the Super Kings. Imran Tahir is likely to retain his position after putting up an impressive performance in the last match. He, along with Ravindra Jadeja, will be leading the spin attack for Chennai.
Virat Singh is likely to make way for Manish Pandey, who missed the last two games for SRH. Pandey’s performance came under scrutiny after he failed to accelerate despite consuming too many balls in the beginning. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is likely to break into playing XI after missing the last game due to a stiff thigh.
Fantasy tips
- Among wicketkeepers, Jonny Bairstow is definitely a better option than MS Dhoni to have in your fantasy team. Bairstow opens the innings and is in sublime form, while MS Dhoni comes lower down the order and has failed to make an impact with the bat.
- Jadeja and Moeen can be the two all-rounders for the team. Both of them are equally adept with both bat and ball and are likely to yield high returns.
- Deepak Chahar has posed problems for David Warner in the past, so picking him is not a bad idea. Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar are other options.
