Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be hoping to secure six wins on the trot when they go head to head with Mumbai Indians (MI) on 1 May, in Match 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. CSK’s only defeat of the campaign has come against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their opening tie, while Mumbai have won three and lost three matches they’ve played so far.
Team News
CSK will be coming off to the Mumbai fixture after a comfortable 7-wicket victory over bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Once again, a lot will hinge on Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad and the start they provide. They are likely to retain their playing XI. They have nothing to worry about, apart from Shardul Thakur’s form.
Mumbai gained more than two points from their win against Rajasthan Royals. Quinton de Kock, who played a key role in the last couple of seasons, had returned to form. They made a bold move by dropping Ishan Kishan for Nathan Coulter-Nile. Remember, Kishan had top-scored (516 runs) for Mumbai last year in the UAE. Given how well Coulter-Nile bowled, Ishan may have to sit out again.
