Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pulled out an epic, if late, comeback to win their second game on the trot. They beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six runs in Match 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Glenn Maxwell’s quickfire half-century pulled RCB out of choppy waters and helped them put on a competitive total of 149/8. Jason Holder (3-30) was the pick of the SRH bowlers, while Rashid Khan picked up two crucial wickets, including that of AB de Villiers.
With a scoreboard reading 77/1 by the end of the tenth over, SRH was well placed to hunt down the target with ease. But a dramatic collapse in the clutch moment of the game cost them an easy victory as they fell short by six runs in the end. Here is how they reacted on social media:
Maxwell’s gritty half-century was praised by one and all.

Shahbaz Ahmed’s over – the 17th of the SRH innings – decided the fate of this game. He took three wickets in an over to push SRH on the back foot.
Ohhhh what a game. Lightening does strike twice at the same spot. That over from Shahbaz….three wickets. Pandey Ji had to take his team home….after playing for as long as he did. Alas….

Mohammed Siraj, too, played an instrumental role in the game, taking crucial wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and Jason Holder.
Outstanding burst from Siraj. He is taking on responsibility so well.
