Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by a solitary run to reclaim the top spot in the points table, on 27 April, in Match 22 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Delhi, on the other hand, have now slipped to third place.
Orange Cap
AB de Villiers joins the top-ten list of the season’s highest run-getters after his magnificent unbeaten 75. Devdutt Padikkal was bamboozled by an excellent delivery off Ishant Sharma for 17. Glenn Maxwell, too, had a chance to score big after both RCB openers fell early. However, he managed to score only 25. They all feature in the top ten.
The biggest shock among all was Shikhar Dhawan’s departure. Kyle Jamieson trapped the current Orange Cap holder with perfection and the latter could not manage to cross the double-digit mark.
