Mumbai Indians (MI) strengthened their position at fourth in the points table by beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by four wickets in Match 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Despite the defeat, Chennai stayed at the top, with five victories in seven matches.

Faf du Plessis completed yet another half-century (50 in 28) in IPL 2021. His tally in this season now goes up to 320, 11 behind Orange Cap holder KL Rahul. Moeen Ali, too, reclaimed his place in the top 10 after scoring 58 runs in 36 balls against Mumbai.
