Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cruised past Punjab Kings (PBKS) to register their first win of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. They won with 26 balls in hand, which gave their net run rate significant boost. They are now placed second on the points table, behind only Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Moeen Ali followed his blitz against Delhi Capitals (DC) with a relatively calm 31-ball 46 here. His 66-run stand with Faf du Plessis for the second wicket set up Chennai’s easy chase of 107. Moeen is now placed seventh on the runs chart. Punjab captain KL Rahul’s 7-ball 5 was enough to take him one spot higher, at fifth, while Deepak Hooda (10 in 15) is now joint ninth. Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders continues to top the table.
