Match 32 of IPL 2022, between Delhi Capitals and Punjab, Kings will take place at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, instead of MCA Stadium, Pune, as originally planned. Delhi had to cancel their travelling plan to Pune after as many as five squad members tested positive for COVID-19.
An RT-PCR Test will be conducted on Wednesday morning. If all remaining members of the Delhi squad test negative, the match will be played on 20 April.
'The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday announced a change of venue for Match No. 32 - Delhi Capital versus Punjab Kings from MCA Stadium, Pune to Brabourne-CCI scheduled on April 20th, 2022, to avoid any further incident due to any undetected case during a long-distance bus journey in a closed environment,' announced the BCCI. 'The Covid positive cases are under isolation and medical observation. They will be tested on Day 6 and 7 and subject to both the tests being negative, they will be re-integrated into the Delhi Capitals bio-secured bubble.'
Other than the physiotherapist Patrick Farhart and player Mitchell Marsh, sports massage therapist Chetan Kumar, team doctor Abhijit Salvi, and content manager Akash Mane have tested positive for the Coronavirus.
