Gujarat Titans (GT) will play Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 10 of IPL 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
GT made a winning start to the IPL. Drawn in Pool B, they beat the other expansion team, Lucknow Super Giants, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, by five wickets with two balls to spare. Mohammed Shami bowled a searing opening spell, while Rahul Tewatia made an unbeaten 40.
Gujarat will not be getting carried away, though. They know there are tougher tests to come, and that expansion teams often struggle in their initial season in the IPL (though Gujarat Lions, the only other team from the state, had topped the league table in their maiden appearance, in 2016).
Delhi began the season with a win over the Mumbai Indians (MI). They chased down 177 with four wickets and 10 balls to spare.
Much of the focus in this match will be on the two captains. Hardik Pandya is facing a new challenge after the injury problems that have derailed his international career. With his limited ability to bowl these days, he needs to be at his explosive best with the bat.
Rishabh Pant, his opposite number, needs to return to his explosive best. That brand of batting has been amiss for some time, particularly since he has taken over as captain.

• Pick Thakur. He is likely to have some joy against the GT batting line-up, and will look to get among the wickets.
• Pick Pant. He will get points with runs and dismissals as well as those extra points with sixes.
• Pick both Miller and Pandya. They will come into play if the top order crumbles.
