It is the second week of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have just played one game, in which they suffered a heavy defeat against Rajasthan Royals. To get their campaign back on track, Kane Williamson's side will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match 12 of IPL 2022 at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Monday night.
SRH finished at the bottom of the table last year. This time, too, they were completely outplayed with bat and ball in their season opener. They tried a few experiments against Rajasthan but, with limited success. However, Williamson and the team management will not discard their theories just after one failure. Hence, Abhishek Sharma is again likely to open the innings with captain, pushing Aiden Markram to the middle order.
Hyderabad has always had a strong bowling attack. However, this year they are without a wicket-taking spinner in the middle overs. Washington Sundar is certainly not the ideal replacement of Rashid Khan.
The Super Giants, on the other hand, will head into this fixture with a lot more confidence, especially after the win against Chennai in a high-scoring thriller. With Marcus Stoinis still not available, Evin Lewis will continue to bat at No. 3 or 4. They will be boosted by the presence of Jason Holder who has finished his quarantine and is expected to slot in straightaway to bolster that lower middle order. On the bowling front, Ravi Bishnoi will continue to be their trump card.

Fantasy tips
- Holder will add balance to the LSG team with both bat and ball. Given the way pitches have behaved this season, you can back him to do well tonight.
- Much like their first game, Abhishek is likely to open batting for Hyderabad alongside Williamson. Abhishek also bowls, which can make him a handy pick in your fantasy XI.
- Despite a poor outing in the last game, Chamira will be Lucknow's primary weapon with the new ball. Against a Hyderabad batting line-up that is yet to settle down properly, he can be another handy pick.
