Lucknow Super Giants beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 75 runs in Match 53 of Indian Premier League 2022, at the MCA Stadium in Gahunje, Pune. Avesh Khan and Jason Holder claimed three wickets apiece to bowl out Kolkata to 101 before Quinton de Kock's 50 propelled Lucknow to 176/7.

K.L. Rahul was run out in the first over, without facing a single ball, but Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda then added 73 for the second wicket at over 10 an over. De Kock struck three sixes and four fours en-route to his 29-ball 50 before Sunil Narine claimed him. Andre Russell soon claimed Hooda for 41: he hit four fours and two sizes.
Krunal Pandya never looked at ease during his stay, hitting just two fours in 27 balls, but Marcus Stoinis provided much-needed acceleration in death overs to propel Lucknow to 176/7. Stoinis struck three sixes for his 14-ball 28. For Lucknow, Russell claimed 2-22.
