With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 set to kick off on March 31, former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp, where he decided to roll his arms during a training session.
Fans were surprised to see the wicket-keeper batter bowling and wondered if the CSK captain had a surprise in store for them in the upcoming IPL edition.
CSK posted a video of Dhoni on social media titled "The Multiverse of Mahi," in which the skipper is seen having fun while batting and bowling in the nets.
Dhoni is one of the few players who has appeared in more than 100 IPL matches. Despite appearing in 234 IPL matches, Dhoni has never bowled an over in an IPL match.
With the 2023 season likely to be Dhoni's final in the IPL, the yellow brigade will look to rebound after a forgettable 2022 season in which they finished ninth in the table, just ahead of the Mumbai Indians.
The Dhoni-led team will begin their campaign against the defending champions Gujarat Giants on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
