Nitish Rana, a left-handed batter, has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp in preparation for the 2023 Indian Premier League, which begins on March 31.
The cricketer took to social media to share a training video in which he appeared energised and stroked the ball well.
"This season's IPL has piqued my interest. I've been working hard in the gym to improve the nuances of my game. I am in a great mental state, and I am confident that I will be able to contribute to team success "Rana stated.
"It was fantastic to finally meet my teammates at the camp. I've always said that KKR is like family to me, and I love playing for them. I've also been practising bowling, which is a great addition to my game "He went on to say.
The 29-year-old also lauded head coach Chandrakant Pandit and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.
"Both Chandu Sir and Abhishek Nayar were inspirational in this preparatory camp, helping me test my limits and push my abilities," Rana said.
The Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders will kick off their IPL 2023 campaign against the Punjab Kings on April 1 in Mohali.
