Bangladesh finally managed to snap their winless streak of eight T20Is. They beat Afghanistan by 61 runs at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Liton Das' fifty propelled them to 155/8 before Nasum Ahmed ran through the top order to bowl Afghanstan out for just 94.
Bangladesh lost both openers inside five overs after opting to bat. Mohammad Naim was pinned leg-before by Fazalhaq Farooqi on 17, while Munim Shahriar got out on 2 on T20I debut. Qais Ahmed then dismissed Shakib Al Hasan (5) to reduce Bangladesh to 47/3.
